Questions, answered properly

Booking, pricing, turnaround, drone rules and the guarantee. If something is missing, just ask.

Booking and scheduling

Do I pay when I book?

No. Booking is $0 and needs no card. You pay after the shoot, once you have seen the photos, and only if you are happy with them. Then you pay online and the full resolution files unlock straight away.

Do I need to call to book?

No. The booking page shows the live calendar, takes about a minute, and books you on the spot. You get a confirmation email straight away and a reminder the day before. If you would rather ask something first, send a message, but you never have to.

What happens after I book?

A confirmation email lands straight away with a link to your booking. A reminder comes the day before. After the shoot you get an email saying it is done and editing has started. About 24 hours later your photos arrive with a Pay button and a Not happy button. Pay and the clean files unlock. Your booking page shows which step you are on at any time.

How far out are you usually booked?

The calendar on the booking page shows every open time for the next four weeks, from the day after tomorrow on. Spring and early summer are the tightest stretch in this market, so if you have a listing coming, a heads up a few days early makes it easier.

Do I need to be at the property?

No. A lockbox code or a seller who can let me in is all it takes. Send notes about what to prioritize, what to skip, and anything about the property I should know before I walk in.

How long are you on site?

About an hour for the photos and aerials, 75 to 90 minutes with the listing video. Bigger homes take longer and I will say so before the day.

How should the seller prep the house?

I send a prep list when the shoot is booked. The short version: every light on, blinds open, counters and fridge doors clear, cars off the driveway, bins out of the shot, pets and pet bowls put away, toilet seats down.

Can I cancel or reschedule?

Yes, any time before the shoot, and it never costs anything. Move it or cancel it yourself from your booking page, linked in your confirmation email. Nothing is paid until you see the photos, so there is nothing to refund either. Full detail on the refund page.

Pricing and the offer

What does a shoot cost?

$179 for the Real Estate Media Package: interior, exterior and drone photos, professionally edited, up to 75 finished images. Add the one minute listing video for $100, $279 in total. One flat rate whatever the square footage, and the video is the only add on. See the pricing page.

How does the $99 first shoot work?

Your first booking with EZ Shots is $99 for the full package, photos and drone aerials, instead of $179. With the video it is $199. No code: say it is your first shoot on the booking page and it is applied. One per agent, and the full price applies after that.

Is the video worth adding?

For a listing that is going on social, usually yes. You get a one minute walkthrough cut for the MLS and a vertical version for Reels and TikTok, for $100 on top of the photos. Tick the box on the booking page; it plays in the same gallery as your photos.

Are drone photos really included?

Yes, with every shoot. Most photographers charge $100 to $175 extra for aerials. Here they are part of the price because on a lot of listings they are the shot that does the most work.

Do you charge extra for bigger homes?

No. The price is the price, whatever the square footage. A bigger house takes me longer and that is my problem, not a line on your invoice. There are no size tiers, everyone gets the same thing.

How do I pay?

After the shoot. Your photos arrive in an online gallery with a Pay button. It opens a secure Stripe checkout for the amount you booked at. Card details go to Stripe and never touch this website, and the full resolution and MLS downloads unlock the moment it goes through.

Delivery and files

How fast do I get the photos?

24 to 48 hours, often shot today and in your inbox tomorrow morning. The written promise is 72 hours from the shoot time you booked. If a gallery is ever later than that, the shoot is free and you keep the photos. That covers me not showing up or not answering too, unless I reached out before the shoot to cancel or move it.

How many photos do I actually get?

Up to 75 finished photos, interior, exterior and drone counted together. The exact number depends on the home. A 1,300 sq ft ranch does not have 75 frames worth of house in it, and padding a gallery with three angles of the same hallway does not help you sell anything.

What file sizes come in the gallery?

MLS sized JPEGs that upload without resizing, plus full resolution versions for print, flyers and brochures. Video comes as a horizontal cut and a vertical cut for social.

Can I get edits after delivery?

Yes. Small fixes like removing a stray object, a different crop or a brighter room are part of the job, not an upsell. Ask inside the first week.

Who owns the photos?

You get an unlimited license to market that property: MLS, your site, social, print, brokerage materials. I keep copyright and the right to show the work in this portfolio. If a listing is sensitive and you would rather it stay off the site, say so and it does.

The guarantee

What exactly is the happiness guarantee?

If you are not happy with a gallery, you do not pay for it. You see the photos before you pay, so in most cases nothing has changed hands at all. If you had already paid, every dollar goes back. Either way I send you $20 on top for the morning the shoot cost you. There is no deadline on the request, and it applies to your first shoot and to every shoot after it. The guarantee page has the complete terms, and there is no second document beyond it.

Do I have to justify it?

No. Press Not happy on your booking page, or reply to any of my emails. Nothing is due, or the money goes back if you had paid, and the $20 goes out. Feedback is welcome but it is not a condition.

What happens to the photos if I do not pay?

The full resolution files unlock with the payment, and the photos are only licensed for the listing once it is paid. A gallery you did not pay for, or were refunded for, comes down from the MLS and anywhere else it was posted.

Drone and legal

Are you licensed to fly?

Yes. FAA Part 107 remote pilot certificate, and commercial liability insurance. Commercial drone work without Part 107 is illegal, and a listing photo is commercial work.

What if the property is near an airport?

Metro Detroit has a lot of controlled airspace between DTW, Coleman Young, Willow Run and Oakland County. Some addresses need an airspace authorization before a flight, which I request ahead of the shoot. A few locations cannot be flown at all, and I will tell you that before you book rather than after.

What stops a flight on the day?

Sustained wind over roughly 20 mph, rain or snow, heavy fog, or a temporary flight restriction. In that case I come back for the aerials at no extra charge, or take the drone portion off the price, whichever you prefer.

Still have a question?

Send it over. Real answer, same person who will be shooting the property, the same day.
